Vertex tarp, no ridgeline nite-ize cam jam and/or nite-ize figure 9. I use trekking poles and mini-ground hog aluminum stakes. Never had a problem, super adjustable, quick set-up.
The vertex tarp seems plenty strong without a ridgeline.

Agree that the vertex is plenty strong without a CRL. I like using a CRL, though. The CRL is my preferred method even though it isn't necessary. I hang wet socks, wet whatever, glasses and my Luci light from it. That doesn't mean I can't change but that's the way I've been doing it and I like having it.
