West Virginia / Dolly Sods / intinerary suggestions

All,

I am planning a short trip to dolly sods in mid August and could use some route suggestions. I will arrive midday on a Thursday and plan to leave late afternoon in a Sunday.

For context, I will have a friend with me and this will be his first backpacking trip, and this is my first trip to dolly sods.

I am really looking forward to checking out the area and any suggestions you have is very much appreciated.

WV is a man full of knowledge regarding that area. I have been there 3 times.
Some advice-
Be prepared for poorly marked trails. They are not blazed. There are signs at the junctions, but they sometimes go missing. Many turns are marked with rock cairns- but some rock cairns lead to side trails, campsites, etc.
Be prepared for rocky and boggy conditions.
Be prepared for rapidly changing weather.

Be prepared to have a great time in a truly unique and beautiful area.
