I will have one or two extra complete Nube set ups if anyone needs a place to sleep.

I asked a similar question a while back and this was the answer:

Y'all are all so generous and kind!! I'm bringing 3 pans of cornbread for Saturday. My people are bringing fresh fruit. I've got jugs of water. And we'll probs pick up other stuff to pass around.

I'm really excited about "hands on" DIY show and tell. I have a really hard time visualizing, even w/ videos.

I'm also really excited about the cajuns from the bayou lands! I can't wait to meet some of my own kind.

Really, I have just started introducing her to the "wild life". I know she can't handle what is being discussed here and I don't want to scare her off. I don't want to slow anyone down so if we can be provided with directions to a more "girly" hike or we could just repeat the one our group did in the Spring that would be good too. It was beautiful!
I think I am down for one of those less advanced hikes. (LoL to "guy" hikes) I did a short backpacking trip at oak mountain and had blisters that are just now healed 3 weeks later. I know it is probably my shoes/socks but I figure I will tough it out eventually. Read that as an excuse to not have to work hard this weekend

I will be coming down late Friday night myself. I was going to bring a spare tarp to use as a canopy, but with the burn-ban and the lack of rain I don't think we will need it. I know that we can carry something like an alcohol stove or a propane stove - but that seems really limiting. I figure a wood gasifier would be under the ban as well. *sigh* looks like boiling water 1 cup at a time.

What is everyone else doing for cooking? Alcohol, Propane?

Hey everybody! I know I am a late add. My son has a "mini Fall Break" and wants to camp. We talked about the group hang versus backpacking. Since it is so dry, we decided not the group hang. We plan to arrive Friday afternoon, but leave Saturday afternoon (I have a Saturday night party to attend.)

I will check the spreadsheet, but I want to make sure we "pull our weight." If we can bring something to contribute to the food (or if not, some cash), I will do so.

I am excited to join in, because previous hangs happened on football weekends, or Homecoming. This time, it does not.

I look forward to meeting you all!

Ok, my wife just spent the last hour reading all the posts on this thread, she must have posted by accident.
