And... you'll need a light saber to open the suspension.

I have been using a UQ protector to help seal the ends of my UQ to hammock. Looks like that is not needed with this new design. I assume there is no need for a draft collar either?

Can't wait to give one of these new UQ's a try and complete my XLC kit.

Hi, I was just curious about the bottom photo there, what you have enclosing the hammock. Is that some kind of tarp alternative?

It’s either a top cover or a sock.

It is not weather proof by any stretch, so not a tarp alternative. I’m sure it probably has water repelling coating (DWR), but that would only be to help with water splashing off the ground and moderate wind driven rain when used with a smaller tarp. It would be most useful for netless hammocks like the Warbonnet Traveler. So a Traveler plus this sock add-on would make it comparable to an XLC with a winter cover top and an UQ protector.

Does anyone know if there are any issues when a Wooki, a hammock, a bug net/winter top cover, and a UQP (all from Warbonnet) WITH the extra zipper track are all assembled and hung? When I picture it in my head, I think the Wooki hangs below the extra zipper track except for at the extreme ends near the carabiner/rubber band which just extend through the gap at the end of the zipper tracks, and any issues would be minor.

Conversely, are there issues with a Yeti suspension and the hammock/top cover/UQP w/extra zipper track? In my minds eye, I do see the shock cord and UQP zippers interfering, but having never seen any of this in person it's hard to know.

edit: Both questions assume the hammock, Top Cover, and UQP are all zipped together via the extra zipper track. If the hammock is free floating in the Chinook/sock formed by the Top Cover and UQP zipped together, any UQ suspension issues are moot (I think).

In my garage right now I have all assembled:

    BBXLC
    20° Wooki
    Winter Top Cover
    UQP w/ extra zipper track

And I wouldn't say there are any issues at all other than the fact that all that gear together is fairly heavy and takes up a decent amount of space. There's a lot of zipper going on in that package.

Basically the Wooki hangs from the hammock the same way as without the UQP and there's no interference of any kind between those two items. The only thing that's a little bit different with the attachment of the UQP via the extra zipper is that the top cover attaches about 1/2" - 1" higher above the hammock than usual due to the width of material that the extra zipper track is sewn to. I don't think this makes much of a difference other than maybe the sides and shelf of the top cover sag a tiny bit more. I'm not even sure if that's noticeable.

Your question mostly seems focused on the Wooki, and to that I'd say there's no difference in the way the Wooki hangs when using the UQP with extra zipper track vs. Chinook method vs. no UQP.

    Thank you, that helps!

Now to wait and see what Warbonnet has in store for Black Friday. I'm still mad I didn't pull the trigger on saving $108 on the custom DB I want during their Labor Day sale.
