So sad I had to miss this. I was all ready to go on Thursday and got a phone call that killed my weekend. Oh well, family first!
Glad y'all had fun! I was looking forward to meeting everyone, especially dplant!

Here's another who had a great time at the hang. This was my first hang and I really enjoyed meeting everyone and seeing all the set ups. I learned so much and thanks to all you who answered my questions, showed me your equipment or allowed me to try out your hammocks. So many good ideas, so little time...

Thanks to Trout, Mule and all the others who worked hard to make this a success. When I get caught up I'll post a few picts.

I am looking forward to future hangs...

    alright, what a great time!
nice to meet everyone and I wish it would have lasted longer

I will second all the other comments...GREAT (perfect) location, perfect weather, great company and lots of new GEAR!

But for me, when the Indiana DNR guy came strolling up to Browning Hill carrying a backpack LEAF BLOWER I realized this trip was off the hook!
I guess blowing leaves off less used trails is a new form of trail maintenance (seriously)...FWIW, he loved the hammocks and was going to vist this site...another convert! HA!

Thanks to Mule, Trout and the many others who worked hard to put this on...BRAVO!

    Great Trip!

I have to echo everyone else comment and thank the organizers for putting on a great trip. I really enjoyed getting out an meeting everyone.

I've never posted a lot on the forums (mostly just lurked and pulled from the loads of information) but hopefully meeting the people behind the names will change that. All of you were great to be around.

If anyone has GPS tracks or coordinates for the campsites and can post them that would be great!

Did anyone record temps for both nights? I felt warmer the second night, but wore more clothes to bed and tweaked my setup a bit. It would be nice to have an objective comparison for future planning.

That was an awesome trip--my first group hang and definitely not my last. I just can't say how great it was to meet so many GREAT people who LOVE to do and talk about what I love to do. There is so much talent and ingenuity, friendliness and humor, generosity and care for each other in this group, it almost leaves me speechless. I met people on the board who are all much more than a forum name now, and who I can now count as friends. I'm still amazed that total strangers can get together and do something like this as if they've known each other for years.

To all the organizers, fire-tenders, trail "shepherds" who kept people on the right track or got them back there, donators of raffle items, and those who loaned equipment and/or shared advice, handshakes, and smiles, here's a huge THANK YOU.

I can't wait for the next hang (RRG in 4 weeks), and definitely want to do this one again. Great to meet every one of you!

PS, photos and video coming soon!
    Powerful stuff, huh!

I heard Barefootchild had readings of 38 for thr first night and 36-37 second night. He could confirm or deny that I'm sure.
