"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver
I'll be getting there on Friday. If anyone is passing through the NWI area and wants to carpool, let me know.
Put me down as one more for the hang. Its been a long time since I was in the Deam Wilderness. Will be nice to get back there - its been on my list.
Since I've DYI-ed all my gear it will be nice to see what things are supposed to look like.
Looking forward to meeting you'all (as they say in No Ky)
Ill get there some time Friday just not sure how early yet.
Slightly off topic:
Yesterday I got the chance to stop at the lake in Brookville & look at the trailhead for the Wolfcreek trail. AT the trailhead, is a (about) 15 car parking lot, it was snow covered so I'm not dead sure. Across the spill way, is a 30(?) car lot. From the lot it looked well maintained, the first 100 feet or so is mostly level, then up the face of the dam.
Sadly, I was at work so only had time to stop, look & hit the road. I didn't even get out of the ambulance.
So, if we do a hang there, at least we got parking.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.
good call to stop and look.
i do not remember the question, however i believe beer is the answer
