    Yep.

AND, I was one jealous guy when I saw your "real" kilt ! Way to go. Plus, you looked most natural in it. got Scotch/Irish in your pipes? You could fool me if you don't ...
Oh I do, I do. I'm tempted to change my HF name to MacGrizz!

I want to share with you, remembering your Cuben Mock engineering in progress. My "coat lining" single layer WallyWorld polyester "FAILED" Saturday nite.

One of the head/top spreader bar junctions, the fabric just past the seam gave way and BOOM, I was on the ground about 1am. So, be careful with your Cuben especially if it is a Bridge?
I have if anything over-engineered the corners, because I know from experience and trigonometry of the forces there. I have busted a couple of cuben bridge attempts, but on the rolled hem, right under my butt when I sat down. Got to get the force transfer just right, right there. I do have a working model though...

Am sorry to hear about your misfortunes. You and cold and the Hill....it ain't working.

I'll try and grab a couple of sons sometime this summer and we can have another go at the Hollow.

    cheers

    GrizzDave,

It was super seeing you at the HH. I can't believe you "hung-around" on your way home from Italy. You must have used the Indy airport?

FYI: I got REALLY frustrated as I didn't have a ground pad. (33*/frosty windshield that morning) I packed up and started to hike out to my car about 1:15am. Couldn't see the trail very well with a lamp even, soooooooo I abandoned and hit the leaves. As my luck goes, a curious deer circled me for about an hour about 3am. MERCY that un-nerves me. I played "dead", rather than try to intimidate "it". The last deer I had circle me was a HUGE buck, which I saw the next morning. I was about 20 yards from it's bed ... as he spooked out at daybreak. That snorting and ground stamping really frightens "me".

I couldn't wait for daybreak. I was HIKING at 6:15 and in the car at 7:15. Pretty cold nite with just my top quilt over me and my feet out. Left my boots on in case I needed to move around being that I was a "couch-crasher" in the wildlifes bedroom.

AnnieWHO ... wanted you to know about my Bridge fabric failure. There must be HUGE amount of stresses on those spanner bar junctions.

Good to see you again ...

Dave, You know I'm going to yell at ya. WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP? There were many, many CCF pads that we all brought that were not in our hammocks at night. I am sorry you had the failure, but we could have helped you have a warm night.

Dave IS a very unassuming person and is a bit of a loner. I am glad you came Dave. I'm sure you made a lot of friends this weekend.

So, t'would appear that the spirits of the Hoosier Stonehedge were busy Saturday night. P'rhaps Rug did have something to worry about after all - not the one writing in blue, but the Spirits who would have been best left alone.

Do you think this is the last of it, DPLant? Oh, I doubt it very much!!!!

    David,

I agree with you. My first hang and I saw so many great people and so many ideas. Just when I thought I was coming to the end of my DIY list.

W\it was great to meet you at the hang. Sorry to hear about the bridge failure. Must have been quite the nite.

If you decide you want to do Gearskin, drop me a pm and I'll get you some measurements and let you know how I would improve my design.

Hope to meet you at a hang again sometime.
