Do you know if he power cord/Foot knee pedal will work on it from my 15-91? I will have to inspect it, maybe tonight but sometime. Just didn't know if I could use the other in the short term.

The power cord will work but there is a second knee cord that is proprietary.
Here is what you need.

Mine is far from as cool as most on here....
"I already broke one needle trying to go too fast, hah. I think if I take it slow it'll be ok."
Scotdanpor, what you say about slowing it down is true. Another factor in breaking needles is that if you try to "help" the fabric through by pulling the fabric from the back, you risk bending the needle as it passes through the fabric enough so that it strikes the plate around the needle hole and breaks. Let the machine do the work, flatten out bulky seams with a hammer before sewing, and change your needle often using the appropriate needle size for the project fabric and thread selected. I also use a wooden tongue depresser to hold fabric in line in a tight area as well as using it under the back half of the presser foot on a really uneven seam to be sewn to keep the presser foot from having to "climb a mountain" of fabric at the seam.
Good luck!

What thread and needle size are people using to sew rip stop and silnylon?
Nothing to see here. Keep moving.
What I have is one cord that goes from the outlet, to the knob that plugs I to the machine then continues into the pedal. So I tried plugging it into the machine it doesn't really fit. I can force it, which I did, but then only the light worked, not the pedal. So I think I might be going to just buy a new cord and pedal. I will need bobbins and needles.
So I have had a chance to take a further look and although dirty on the outside, it's pretty clean inside. The lube looks new, In place and clean. The wires look new. Cams are clean, everything flows smooth.
I finally put 2 and 2 together. There is a second spot to connect the foot pedal. Koolranch said proprietary and that made me think about the other round plug thing I couldn't figure what it was when looking it over. My 15-91 used one cable, from stem to stern. This one is two.
I got a new wall cord and a new pedal cord on the way. I had bought a new pedal for my 15-91, but just reworked the old one. I should be good to go in a few days.
My new (to me) thread injector.
It was built May 17, 1941 in Scotland and is the 99K model. It took a little cleaning up and a new motor (which by the way is quite inexpensive compared to new machines) and she runs like a top. My boyfriend already wanted to check out her capabilities and she easily went thru 8 layers of heavy cotton material. I think she's gonna sew up this seatbelt material I got from Donski very easily. By the way Don, many thanks again.
The table was a separate project but I think it's going to be an awesome work station and is fitting.
