I'm not the only one who has noticed the floppy sides on the Wooki, and I have used the UQP with success in keeping the sides a little more snug. Some fine fellow I hike with has suggested the Wooki (or at least mine) may need a Knotty Mod which explains why the cinched up UQP works for my hang. YMMV.

I still like the Wooki and as of this time I have no plans to sell mine. In my opinion its one of those game changing moments in product development. What baffles me is how some people have no flop and some do.

I wonder if it has to do with hang angle. The reason I suspect that is that I've never had floppy sides when I hang where I can easily get the correct tension on my ridgeline, but if I try hanging with a more flexible ridgeline the sides no longer snug up as well. They still aren't floppy, but definitely aren't married as closely to the hammock body any more. Just a theory. ????

Also the Wooki seems more snug on my double layer XLC than my SL XLC. The SL XLC was restrung at some point and the original buckle suspension was replaced with plain CL and the structural ridgeline wound up almost an inch longer. I don't know if either of those differences in the two hammocks (DL vs SL; differing structural ridgeline lengths) account for the seeming difference (mild though it is) fit of the Wooki to the hammock or not....?

I'm glad I don't have any issues to fix with my Wooki's fit.

Just thought i would add my 2 cents the floppy sides might be related to your body position in the hammock ie the height difference between the foot end and the head end.

All I can say is WOW. Put it on last night for the first time. Really felt like had nothing under me. I'm used to being able to feel where the UQ is and where it isn't in other UQs. Nice and toasty with the winter version and a 0 degree TQ in the yard. I think it might've got into the upper 20s, at least below freezing I believe.

    Awesome!!

Thursday here in AL we will see temps drop to the 20's overnight!!!

Time for me to get out and really test my wooki! I probably won't sleep in it that night (I have a difficult time sleeping in my back yard) but I will lay around in it for an hour or so perhaps. I have 3 season model.

I'm not a back sleeper, but I'm trying to be one in my Blackbird. I can't say I slept great in the backyard last night, but decent enough. Some nights, I'm out there an hour or two with no luck, so I just come back in.

    Wooki first impressions

Also - as it relates - I shot another crappy video tonight as I lay in the wooki with a dutch 11 foot netless - had I make a tweak for it to work but once I figured it out it kept me toasty all the same as on the XLC

Not entirely sure I would recommend folks without an WB hammock to buy a wooki but for me it seems to work great once I figured out how to fit it

I used a loop of cord with taughtline hitch at the head end and lengthened it about 6 inches to the point where the rubber band stretches only about an inch at the foot end

Once that was all set right it did the job

Finding your alignment with the wooki felt kinda odd in the dutch hammock vs the wooki - but it worked.

28 degrees a few minutes ago as I tested btw and I was warm !! Amazing how warm my legs and feet were - I'm so sold on how effective it is a the foot end!

So you didn't need to add any ribbon at the foot end to close that gap we saw in your first video ?
