    Question Heavy hangers in Ridgerunner?

I want to bring a friend to hang with me in my girlfriends dual layer Ridgerunner which is rated up to 250 lbs. Unfortunately, he is 254 lbs alone, Isolation is another like 4 lbs. Will he damage the hammock? Any experience from heavier users ?

I am 240 and would not hesitate to let someone 254 use one of my ridgerunners, that is if you have the larger size spreader bars made for the heavier weight.

I got the standard 12 oz bars which comes with the dual layer ridgerunner hammocks. That should be fine then?

I am not sure, you'd need to ask Brandon, but I do think the 12 oz are the larger, they have 10 and 12 oz as I recall.

Not certain of this, but I *think* the double layer RR comes with thicker spreader bars, and the single layer RR comes with thinner/weaker ones. I'm guessing the single layer RR has a somewhat lower weight rating than the double layer version (which I have). Best to check this on Brandon's website, rather than trusting my memory...

I believe they all come with a thicker head spreader .
