    Found a new hammock/tent called a Crua....

I actually kinda like this design. Not gonna buy one, but it's nice. I like how you can open a side and attach two together. Kinda cool. Interesting suspension on it too. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/thermotents/the-best-tent-hammock-inspired-by-travel-crua-hybr?ref=watched_project_launched

Saw this also. Was going to post on it as well. Looks like a lot of pressure if you hang is due to how tight it has to be.

I feel as though you would swivel side to side a lot.

If its fully waterproof i like the design to not have a tarp.

    Interesting to say the least.

I wonder how much movement it would have in heavy winds? From the look of it when the person entered, it seems pretty shaky. At close to 7 pounds, it's heavy and who knows what the sleeping bag is made out of or the temp rating. But, someone likes it and the campaign has almost raised $100k! Check out the creepy fingernails at :39 on the video.

exactly, looks really tippy, it's rather heavy and bulky and we have no idea about the temperature ratings of this thing.

I think I would've liked it better as a lightweight 1p connectable tent, without the mattress or the sleeping bag. Leaving all suspension and webbing behind they probably could've end up with a 1p tent around the 1.5kg mark...

Agree, way too tippy! I'll stick with my beloved Hennessey and set up.

Couldn't a Ridgerunner essentially do the same, but with some work pitching the bugnet?

I had the same thought, the only difference is the RR doesn't have an attached rainfly. If you add a spindrift sock it's really the same concept though, just not waterproof.
