I would consider it an upgrade. I have a HH, and I recently purchased a hammock from a cottage vendor. The new hammock is far more comfortable. I'll be selling my HH in the near future.
GO for it.
If after sleeping in the XLC for a few nights you want to go back to the HH (not likely!) you can sell it here and only lose a little.
More likely you'll be selling the HH after your first night in the XLC, and spending that money (and more!) on a Wooki!
Add life to your years!
Resale value on Hennessey's is fairly low.
Why not keep it for a second hammock?
I have both and switch around depending on the trip.
It would also be great for taking a friend or family member out for a hang.

I agree that it indeed would be an upgrade. I just went from a HH Explorer Deluxe to a DH Sparrow. A longer, wider hammock makes a huge difference in comfort. That being said, I'm going to keep my HH as it's a great setup that I can let friends use.
My husband purchased the WB Blackbird XLC about a month ago and has already ripped his bugnet. I had a HH Ultralight asym explorer delivered to me on Friday and I like that it seems a bit more substantial. Additionally we put them up side-by-side to test out. We didn't really notice much of a difference, but seemed quite comfortable. We're taking them both camping this weekend though so that'll be the true test.
I recently got a WB Blackbird after a couple years in Hennessy's, Expedition and then UL Backpacker. I like the WB better but it's not a night day difference to me. I still like the Hennessy's. I'm going the route mentioned above and keeping my Hennessy's for loaners.

Back to the torn bug net! How? User fault? Making me nervous.
