    Costco question

Hey I can now get the costco blankets since they are selling them on the website. I want to make a topquilt but I'm not sure I can make it out of one of the blankets. I'm 6'10' tall is the problem. Could I cut some out of the sides to make it longer. I would like to use one to make it so can use the other for a underquilt. Please help.

This pictorial produces an 80 inch top quilt:

I bet you could combine 2 quilts in a way to extend the length and use the remainder as either a partial underquilt or use the down to double up your insulation

Yes, I have seen folks online do just that. They sewed a second line of stitches beside the seam line of the squares they want to cut off. Then cut between the two lines of stitches. Add the extra squares to the length. I'll see if I can find a pic for you.

Hey thanks for this link. These things really are amazing for the price. Almost like "insta quilt". I am going to be making a top quilt for my "guest hammock"

That's exactly what I was looking for. It shows me I can use all the quilt to make one. Thanks for the quick responses.

Are the Costco blankets available in stores now? I've checked in the past and haven't been able to find any thing.
