    The Grappler Shackle

I love the phanton grappler hitch especially the way it doesnt fall off.

But i also love the improved soft shackles for strength and no raw ends.

So i found an easy way to use the improved soft shackle in the way a grappler hitch is used.

So doesnt fall off, but can be removed, and used for other stuff, quick and easy like a grappler, no raw ends like a shackle

Think i will use it for the end of my tree hugger to attach around the tree.

I like the improved soft shackle used as standard for the suspension.

Great idea. I like that it is removable. Simple and less wear than hardware.
You could use longer shackles for strap extensions instead of dogbones. Dual purpose.

Very nice... as much as I like my Dutch bling.... I'm moving in this direction as well. I think I like your soft shackle solution better then the grapplers hitch. Seems more secure when there is no tension on the suspension.

Is that just a regular improved soft shackle or has it been modified?

Or maybe a little different than pictures by Tacblades--maybe pass shackle through strap loop and put a larks head around shackle so that it tightens just below the diamond or stopper knot. It might be less likely to get loose and fail during use? Good luck!

The soft shackles have an end splice, so that goes over the knot for a normal use, no need for the larks head in that mode.

Thanks Tacblades, I did not know there is an end splice, I thought it was a rope loop with a stopper knot making a closed loop--so I thought larks head next to diamond knot stopper.
    Oops--my bad, thanks Tacblades

Tacblades, are you passing the stopper knot through the constricting splice (like between the two strands) or are you placing it through the larks head on the strap. I'm not sure if that's clear or not.
