I ended up tearing into an old pillow and using 7” wide baffles by using 1.5” from both sides of the baffle. I made 10” baffles first by combining two rows but left both edges alone so the ended up being only 3.5” wide. I figured I needed more on the bottom than the shoulders. I ended up with this: DAA84FD5-3253-4803-B140-AA8A88DBD606.jpg67A2EDCB-A5F6-4A67-93C0-8E14B411C4E0.jpg

Nice work. I've been enjoying my Gemini combo. But your UQ looks like a good option for a 3/4. Thanks for sharing.

The only time you would have to finish the ends is if you opened them up to add more down to the quilt. If that is the case, you finish the ends before sewing the faux baffles.

If you're talking about the "U" shaped gap where the baffle is sewn, then yes- theoretically it is open there. In practice, only a very small section is open (you can stick your finger inside). That doesn't seem to affect the effectiveness of the quilt much/if at all (the channel stays closed except for about 1" at the end). You could easily sew those closed if it's of much concern. For me, I'm not worried about it.

    From post #114,
    https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...=1#post1774442
Which goes thru the whole process,

You will see that the right hand seam is finished, the middle one is pinned and the left one is chalked.
I left the end of the faux baffle, it doesn't need to be finished.
