HH Explorer Hyperlite?????

When I ordered my Hyperlite today, I asked if they could make me a custom Explorer Ultralight with the Hyperlite material and suspension system. They said they have been considering it, but didn't know how long it would be before I would receive a prototype.

James called me back in five minutes and said they are going to at least build some prototypes, but it would probably be a few months before I could get my hands on one.

For those of you looking for a longer, lighter hammock that you don't have to make yourself, there may be one in our future!

Now if they could just make that about 10' long with a removable zipper bug net, I'd just have to get me one.

Seriously, that sounds like a nice hammock.

Are the hyperlite models shorter than the other models? I thought they were the same thing with different fabric. Why would they be shorter? I wonder if they are concerned about fabric strength.

These are things that I think about these days. Tent sleeping sure was less complicated...too bad it sucks!
