    Single Line Suspension Whoopified

Does any one use a single line suspension with whoopie slings on both ends? I'm looking to add Whoopie slings to my ENO but I also want to change out my ridge line. I figured I would use a spike hitch when hanging the hammock to locate my sweet spot for the ridge line length then give myself a couple of inches of play and start the burry. I would be using rings like in HC4U SLS sticky.

    Seems doable.

Just take your ridgeline measurement and add in the cordage for slings.

If you want 6' slings, start with 12' of cord (+ your ridge line measurement. add in a couple extra inches for knots on the rings.) Normally my 6' slings take 13', but since you would essentially be eliminated the fixed eye, you can save a foot or so on either end.

I do offer this as a service, just need exact measurements. You supply the rings, Ill supply the loops and suspension.

Yes. TeeDee and I changed his Modular Single Line Suspension (MSLS) to use whoopie slings.

It has whoopie slings on both ends using 1/8" line (AS-78 or Amsteel Blue) and guy line (1.75 mm Lash-It or Zing-It or the new 2 mm Dynaglide) for the ridge line in the middle. 7/64" line could be used instead of the 1/8" line.

We put Stainless Steel or Ti toggles in the Whoopie sling fixed eyes. The guy line ridge line is a whoopie sling also with a limited adjustment of the adjustable eye and a long span between the fixed eye and the adjustable eye. The ridge line is looped over the toggles and the hammock is hung from the toggles.

Works very well - easy to make, easy to setup and easy to adjust.

How does the hammock hang from the same toggles that the ridgeline is attached to?
