Old Man Winter Tarp now available at dutchwaregear.com

    Getting ready for winter
We now have in stock while supplies last, Old Man Winter tarps from Wilderness Logics. This is an old favorite of mine and I am proud to have it in my store. They are Dark Olive and have all the bells and whistles. Ten tie out points, side pull outs, and two inside tie outs make this tarp my go to winter tarp. The doors are formed and aren't just a flap that doesn't hold it's shape like many other tarps on the market. Marty and his crew do an excellent job of making a rolled hem on cat cuts to keep everything taunt. The two inside loops on the other side of the pull outs are so you can tie your hammock back and out of the way to cook without accidently singeing your UQ. These are in stock and will ship out in Dutchware fashion so you don't have to wait. Weighs 22 ounces and comes in Dark olive. Made by Wilderness Logics and of course, made in the USA.

IMHO OldManWinter is a "do it all" tarp.

When hung low and with the doors closed, it can handle the toughest conditions nature has to offer.
When hung higher, in porch mode, with the doors on the windward side staked out, it makes a great "lean-to" shelter.
Or set up in double porch mode makes a large shady/airy cover.

The center side stake out loop keeps the side close to the ground when the wind comes whipping.

It's positively my favorite tarp. And the tightest seams and cleanest stitching in the industry.

    Got Winter ?

Get an Old Man Winter Tarp

Love this tarp. Well made, feature rich, holds up over time backed by a quality gear maker and now sold by Dutch.

Throw on a couple Stingerz, some reflective guy lines, line locs and stakes (all available at Dutchwaregear.com) and you are good to go.

My favorite modes, adding the Pole set and closing the doors using a little shock cord and some mitten hooks or tarp door hooks.

Used mine living outdoors for an entire Winter, many hundreds of uses since then and still going, couldn't be happier.

    Have sherpas, will travel...

I so wish these were made out of SilNylon. These tarps are so heavy and stretchy when wet and take a ton of time to dry out. I wonder when they will switch over?

I've had mine only for one season, but I do love it. If I need a tarp for rain or snow, this is in my pack. The pic below is from it's first test at Zaleski.
