If it's raining Tuesday afternoon/evening, I'll probably delay the trip until Wednesday since my son will be joining us this time around.
I didn't get any text message.

I'm going to head out tomorrow morning - i'll find the park host and grab some wood.
I've come down with some sort of cold - hoping it clears up by tomorrow. If not, I see a lot of hammock sleeping in my future.
i'm in Mike - get the pallet.
We will be out there early tomorrow morning. Currently at the Marriott in Katy. Arrived a day early after finishing the trail at Lake Georgetown. Staying at the Marriott for $17.50 tonight(my discount rate for the holidays) Washing laundry and getting resupplies then will be out there.
I don't plan on getting out there until late afternoon so don't give up if you get there early and don't see any hammocks.
Sweet rate on the hotel.
I know. First the idea of paying for wood stinks.
Then the idea of paying a buck for one 2' piece of split wood inhales profusely.
As far as putting 1/4 cord in my wife's minivan... that's gonna really cost me
I really appreciated the oldgringo wood service on our last big group hang. Now that I'm doing it, I appreciate him even more.
If the wood is near here I can pick it up in my truck but it sounds like it will probably be out near you. Just let me know.
In an earlier post, I mentioned that I had reserved one site. Since there is a max of 2 cars per site, there will need to be some more sites rented.
At the last hang, I took care of all that but with the short notice on this one, I am not, so this is just a reminder that whoever gets there first will need to rent a site in addition to the one I have.
I rarely go on a trip without making a recon of my own and this one is no exception...
Recently I made the trek to SFA SP to see the lay of the land. My suggestion to whoever gets there to stake a claim on sites is to go with 59 or 61 if we want our backs away from the other campsites. The other option would be to go for 60 and 66. They basically back up to each other and there are more trees between them than most other sites. Just food for thought.
