Personally, I'd prefer earlier in the month. The end of January is practically spring. Maybe put up a poll on the potential dates and see which one can have the most attendees?

The dates are already selected. The WI Hang was scheduled before and to give people more of a chance to attend both we scheduled this hang two weeks later..... you know as well as I that the temps don't change much in two weeks, and statistically speaking the average low temp is colder on the weekend we're going

Hey yall!!!! Went out yesterday with Xena (Hammock Princess) and found a spot that may work and is definitely a change of pace over the last few years Even has a lake for those who want to do some ice fishing plus the spot is an island. I am going to try to get out there this weekend on my way back from the boundry waters to check it out. I'll let you know

I have a message out currently to the superior national forest ranger station to find out if it gets plowed in winter and also if it's a leggal place to camp because of its proximity to designated campground as well as water. It does look cool on Google maps satellite

okay well we never went to take a look at the proposed new spot because the forest service got back to me and it isn't plowed and it isn't a place where we are allowed to camp. We will continue with the planned finland state forest hang.
