Looks like our forecast will be about 30°-40° warmer than last year...

Too bad it wasn't going on right now in Ely where it's -31° right now.

Is that with the windchill?
I'm at -19F with a -35F windchill. I think a lot of peoples systems would get overwhelmed with that wind.

I can't make it this time but perhaps if there's a FBH in 2018 I'd love to join. Are out-of-towners welcome?

I'm not coming as far as you but its a solid 12 hr drive for me.

It's obviously the place to be!

I love winter sports, or just being out in the great outdoors during cold and snowy weather, hence the interest. Little chance of really cold weather hanging in the UK, northern Scandinavia could be an option for me in the meantime.

Toots and myself are the only people to show up from out of country as far as I know, but there is no restriction on where you come from. I don't think a year has been missed since it started.

Wouldn't want you to feel like the only oddballs in the hang, seems like you need some of my company.

TBH I've never dealt with such low temperatures so getting my kit and myself prepped and ready could be a big deal. Loads of great info and resources in these forums though.
