    New Flight Jacket

Ok... a whole lot of awesomeness going on here. This thing is sweet! 20 degree, 78 x 55, full taper, no overstuff, insulated footbox, added draft collar, charcoal gray 1.0 hyperD outer, and M15 poly taffeta inner. Can't wait to give it a run at the Hoosier Halloween Hang.

Nice! Congrats on the new quilt. Be sure to report back on how well it performs.

Looks beautiful. I'm in the process of figuring out what options and colours I want so I can get my flight jacket ordered. I don't have much experience or knowledge on all the different fabrics but I am curious as to why you choose the m15 taffeta for the inner ? I almost have mine narrowed down to Bosa nova red for outer and I was going to go with m10 black for the inside. I'm just wondering if maybe I should choose the m15 taffeta over the m10.

I chose based on the fact that polyester (M15) absorbs less moisture than nylon(M10 ) and RBTR's statement that this would reduce 'clammyness'. Also, the M15 would have a slight edge in durability over the M10.

Whether or not these are true assumptions, they are the reasons I chose how I did.

I will report back after the Halloween Hang on how it performs.

The M15 is newer to the market than the M10, so I don't think there are many quilts out there with the M15 liners.
