Hi,
I'm a new(ish) hanger from the seattle area who just got into hammock camping this year. I grew up (like many seattlites) camping, climbing, hiking, and riding in our state's beautiful parks. I have a pair of backpacking buddies and all three of us switched over to hammocks this year after seeing a few pictures of the tentsile tents and thinking they looked super comfy (we then realized that we were poor college students and all three of us bought Byer of Maine traveller lite hammocks, $20 on amazon and work perfectly for us .) Hammock Forum helped us decide on the transition when we were researching hammock camping. My other typical backpacking buddy (re: my dad) is still unfortunately attached to his tent. Working on convincing him that hanging is better! Looking forward to learning more the longer I'm here!
