Hey, i'm looking for the term used to describe when a hammock and tarp share the same suspension. Bowing to the knowledge of the community. Note: if you're going to give me an acronym like SLS, please spell it out.

Crayons - they might look different, but they all taste the same
I don't know what the experienced hangers on here call it, but I've always called it piggybacking the tarp on the hammock suspension.

Single line suspension. Not very popular, but some like it.

Thanks gents. You guys just reminded me where I saw this first.
@FireInMyBones Jeremy, I think your vids were the first place I saw a setup combining tarp and hammock. Di you know if it has a name or did you give it one?

I think he calls it a "deluxe suspension system."
"The deluxe suspension system is our unique, all-in-one strap suspension that is detachable from the hammock and is custom-designed to hang your tarp on the same strap as the hammock. The optional deluxe suspension is an additional $40. Suspension weight is 155g/5.45oz."

I call it an integrated suspension.

Thanks Surfr, I was hoping to find a bit more common name. I thought a Single Line Suspension (SLS) was replacing a strap with a Line after the tree wrap, but maybe I'm not thinking about it right.
Maybe it's a Single Anchor Suspension.

Sometime in the past olddog did a good presentation of the single line suspension on the forums.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

Here is the thread from when I was playing with a Single Line Suspension.
