    Hey from S.C.

I am a relatively new convert to hanging, and my back can't thank me enough. (My butt is hoping I will follow some of the advice I have found here for staying warm!) Tons of questions, so I am glad I found HF. Merry Christmas to all!

I think 2010 is the year of the HAMMOCK on the Chinese calendar and they put a reference to Hammock Forums so everyone will know how to keep that backside warm! The answers are here, if difficult to find, just repeat the question. No harm, no foul. Welcome!

Welcome to the forums and go ahead and unleash that ton of questions you've got.
We measure things by the ounce around here, so we've got some work to do.

Hey Chattooga, welcome and Merry Christmas! Is that user name a ref to the famous river? I rafted that 20 some years ago, and got thrown out of the raft! Still with a better outcome than the famous movie!

In your neck of the woods, it shouldn't be too inconvenient to get together with a group hang where you can learn it all in a few hours of observation! But in the meantime, ask away!
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us....that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.

Yep, have done lots of camping along the Chattooga above where the rafting is done. So far, no banjo music

Ah, the Chatooga! That's one of my favorite places as well, particularly north of Burrell's Ford.
