So much for getting in shape over the last 5 months, (huffing and puffing too much, too quickly to consider a serious hike), and I do have some schedule conflicts that require me home for a Sunday morning commitment.

I'm looking at some options for part of this though. Rat, do you need a Fri/Sat trail support sidekick that has, on occasion been able to cook a bit?

Absolutely, we would love to have you at the fire on Saturday. And I know how you are around dutch ovens, so I will say this with grain of salt; I can handle the cooking if you just wanna hang out and relax (yea right), but will welcome any tips and trips the Master may have.

We can work out a pick up for you when we get closer, I'll give you a call.

Ya'll might want to try the spillway, caught many a Crappie there. Lived in Austin from 83-2001, 1st day of Dove hunting is good there also, after about 10:00am the birds were always run out.

Lots of Christmas trees been dropped into that lake for structure... tuna fish cans with oil also, we ran line through the holes and anchored over the spot and drank Modelo Negra. Good times, in February that is...

Wish I had a collapsible light fishing rod. I'd love to get some fishing in while we're there. I have a feeling I'll be dead on my feet though.

I will be bringing a collapsible rod, and possibly my 3 wt fly rod! So, look on Amazon, or go to BPS or Academy and let's do some fishing!
