VIDEO: Florida- Suwannee River kayak trip PART 1

I was recently on a 4 day kayak trip on the Suwannee River. I have been into kayaks and hammocks for quite a few years now. I've always wanted to combine the two on a trip. My friend Andy Lundberg(itsandy) is a kayak guide for the Florida Kayak School out of Tallahassee. So, when he invited me to go on a trip with him, naturally, i jumped at the chance. I have family in Live Oak, FL, so I knew about the Suwannee, but I haven't been on the river, since the late 80's. It's still as beautiful as ever. Here is Part 1 of two videos I'm editing. I'll upload part 2, when it's finished. Hope you enjoy it.

Great video Ron. Looks like the water was very low.

Nice! Looking forward to part 2. The Suwannee was on our short list when we hauled our yaks down to FL a few years ago, but sadly we ran out of time. We did get to paddle the Crystal and Rainbow rivers though which were gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the video. That area looks like an excellent place to paddle. How many miles did you guys put in?

At about 48'. Andy said, if it were two feet lower, we would have been portaging in a few areas.
