It's so... so... green! What an awesome place to hang. Thanks for posting.

    Where in Sweden is this?
Also, could you recommend other spots in Sweden for hanging?
Last summer, my son and I traveled to Norway for some camping and met several folks from Sweden. I think I'd like to do some hanging there the next time I get out your way.

    Cheers.

Thanks for posting the photos.
Yes, it's Swedish made and have been around for ages..long before the fold-a-cup was invented. It's is a plastic version of the traditional Swedish wood "kåsa". Inexpensive ( 1-2 USD) and last forever. Nodays you can find them in all kind of colors.. It's bigger than a fold-a-cup and has a larger brother.

If you like to I can send you a few..but I think that the shipping will be expensive :-(

It was in the southern parts of sweden (take a look at my other tripp reports as well. They are also from the southern parts of sweden ) but I recommend you to go to the northen/middle parts of Sweden if you like the woods. If you visit, contact me and I will suggest some nice places depending on the season. A few years ago I spent month in the northen parts of Sweden and I has also been kayaking around most of the country (with a few bits missing).

It will be a few years before I move back...too much of the US to see and hike yet. But Sweden is definitely on the bucket list

Thanks for the generous offer! However, I am sure shipping would cost more than the item. With a little searching, I found that the Swedish kåsa mugs are being sold in the US. I decided to get a larger Fold-a-Cup instead. Thanks again for your photos.

Beautiful! I love pine forests with the soft bead of needles. You guys obviously get more precipitation that we do in the southern US. Just a beautiful area. Thanks for sharing.

Seeing that setting reminds me of a word I was taught by my great-grandmother, a Finn: Kaukokaipuu. It's meaning is something like "being homesick for a place that you have never seen." That pretty much sums it up for me! I am glad that you had a great time.
