Question Sliding a Fronkey bugnet while an underquilt is installed

I'm in the habit of sliding my Fronkey bugnet all the way to one end of my hammock each morning so I can use the hammock as a seat during the day. And then when it's time to get in my hammock for the night I slide it back across.

Each time I do the slide I have to remove everything within the bugnet except the hammock itself; sleeping pad, topquilt, stuff hanging from the ridgeline. That stuff won't fit through the little hole at the end of the bugnet.

Will I be able to do the slide while leaving my newly ordered but not yet delivered 40 deg underquilt in place? In other words, will hammock and underquilt fit through the little hole at the end of the Fronkey bugnet?

Alternative question - how easy is it to install an underquilt when you have to do the entire operation through the hole in the bottom of a Fronkey bugnet?

    Make the hole bigger.
On my DIY Fronkey, I have a two foot hole on the seam at one end, seals up with Velcro.

Incorporates the hug with a fronkey bug net. Would serve your needs i suspect.

one way to approach this is to disconnect one end of your hammock from your suspension and pass the hammock back through the bug net and out the big opening at the bottom of the net, slide the bug net back to one side and reconnect your hammock to suspension.

Thanks, never thought of that. It should be very easy to remove the net that way, but perhaps still a little troublesome to reinstall it. But I'll definitely give it a try.

To reinstall it just reverse the process. Disconnect your hammock from one side, pass it through large bottom opening and then pull end of hammock towards skinny end of bugnet.

That's the way I do it. It makes it much easier if you use Dutch clip whoopies.
