I'm getting pumped up for this! Still fighting my flu by I think I'm finally on the tail end of this thing.

I starting getting my stuff together and packed. Looks like a wild ride with rain, 40mph+ wind and even thunderstorms! Maybe a little wet snow as it pushes thru. Looking forward to hunkering down and enjoying the wet piney woods.

Looks like I am not going to make it. Wife has to drive the good car for work, our other car is leaking brake fluid and I need to get that fixed. Combine that with the really poor weather forecast, going to skip this one and see everyone next time around.

I'm bailing out because of the poor conditions. If we didn't have to drag stuff 2-3 miles with possible little/no snow to support a pulk, would be more enthusiastic.

Am looking forward to 2018 Green Timbers, though!

    Have fun, guys!

Made a few changes to my menu. I have a big big batch of tamales so I threw in a couple of jars of homemade salsa to go with them. Anybody bringing tin foil? They are already cooked so we could just wrap a few at a time and toss them on the grill to warm them up. Someone could bring sour cream if they wanted to go with those.

Couldn't find dried cherries so am going with brown sugar and raisins for the oatmeal. I am sure there will be some bacon to throw into the oatmeal for you die hard bacon fans.

Can't wait to get out there even if I spend the whole time laying in my hammock listening to the rain and playing on my ham radio. Sounds like heaven.

We'll miss you! Can't blame you though. The last thing you want is to get a pulk to camp on 2" of slush, then having that 1/2"+ of rain melting it away. That wouldn't be a fun return trip!

I finally caved and decided to backpack this one in...so back to the lighter gear. I'll throw the pulk in just in case though.

Safe journeys, see you out their.
Keep us posted on the conditions from Hare Rd. and safe travels. Wish I could make it out there earlier.

I'll have tinfoil. Thinking about some redskin potatoes to go with the fish. Have to peruse the posts and decide if we're lacking in food. Lol

Cool, I was thinking some foil might be good to warm up the tamales although we could put them in a dutch oven or probably even right on the grill since they are in corn husks. I have quite a few so it should make at least one meal for the group.
