I thought you were making the Gumbo, and I was not making the SW chicken stew... I was tying to figure what would make a good side for Gumbo. Did you not get what you needed from the grocery? What ingredients do you need? ... then we can divy them up. There is a sign up sheet on the first post.

I think burgers and dogs are a good idea and will appeal more to the masses. I am very interested in trying some gumbo and have the big pot. I also have that propane burner to cook over so we can conserve wood.

I am pushing for a head count by Wednesday. We can make the final determination after that.

KY, can you bring your grill again if need be?
I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.

Ok folks we are in final count down for our Spring Hang. There are preparations and decisions to be made concerning food and we need a final head count for the potluck dinner and mountain man breakfast.

Please update it accordingly. Again, if you are participating in breakfast or dinner you need to contribute. Your contributions are important and can make or break the meal. If you cannot attend but have signed up to bring something please let me know so we can adjust.

Please be looking for a list of NEEDS that will be forthcoming.

We have some folks on participating on our Facebook page only. I will update the list for those campers.

Looks like it's burgers and dogs along with a pot of gumbo. With everyone's side dishes we should have a great meal Sat night.

KY, if you could bring the grill that would be awesome. Sorry for the hassle. I'm bringing a big pot and my propane burner.

Weather is calling for rain this weekend hope that changes, but just as in scouting memories are made in the rain and slop. No one tells stories about the blue sky days.

If you have signed up to bring something please let us know if you aren't going to show so we can re-adjust. I can't stress this enough.

In an effort to mitigate risk, I called JMF to see if group site 4 (one with a big pavilion) was open this weekend and it is unfortunately booked.

    No worries.

I'll bring the grill, just not sure what else is needed for the dinner. I won't be there until Saturday late morning so I will miss the breakfast.

If Campalot is coming he might be bringing beans. He did last go around. I'll figure something out I guess.
