Is anyone planning a short hike in from like Apple Pie Hill? I was planning to drive in but I kinda want to get some hiking in this weekend.

Were not hiking in, bit I would love to fit in a hike Saturday. How far is it to APH? anyone know if it's manned? I read that's when the fire tower is only open.

There's probably not going to be anyone there so it will be locked with a big fence around the tower. It's about 4 miles I think to the tower; not a bad hike if the tower is open and you can get up there at sunrise.

I should be there around 4 am with a giant 4x4 with unbaffled exhaust, full rack of spot lights blazing and blasting led zeplin through a 1000 watt stereo. so, where should I park?

Had one great night had to return home to take care of business. Very nice to meet you Iafte and your son and Suede I met yesterday. Hope the person who got the mini mag light or the novelty light switch get lots of use from them. Next year I hope nobody calls me to return home so early. Looking forward to hearing what I missed tonight. Post up your photos too.

Had a great time, food was INCREDIBLE and weather was great. I didn't catch mostly anyone's forum names but huge thanks to Jay with the Clark setup and the black SUV; I was nice an toasty all night.

Thanks Iafte and silentorpheus for all the help and advice on everything. Can't wait for the next hang!
