I'm guessing the NJ Winter Hang will have quite a few more participants!

If I can get a test in before either of these I'll try to get out. My store bought quilts are only 50 degrees... I can eek high 30's out of them 20's and lower if I throw in my 0 degree bag (I sleep warm). I recently made a 10 degree set (synthetic) but have not had time to give them a good test yet.

If you ask, someone can probably loan you appropriate quilts for the temps. I have 0*, 40* and 20* quilts, and as long as the temps aren't outrageously low, I usually have loaners. If the temps are below 10* F, sorry, but I'm probably using two sets of quilts!

Bigger isn't necessarily better, but it is a bit closer, 180 miles to Pine Barrens vs 250 miles to ANF. Depends on what you're looking for I guess. I'm hoping we get lots of snow this year, I mean in FEET lol but I'm sure there will be more gear to lend in NJ...

Welcome! I delivered furniture to a client in Hancock, NY in June and wow that area right on the PA border is beautiful!!! If I had had my hammock, I would have slept outside that night I was there! As it was, I did actually sleep on their screen porch that was 30' from a stream. What an amazing sleep I had! Hope to check out that area again sometime.
