I think Gargoyle was taking the long way in saying that this last year's northern hang occurred in early October. I think it was the first one, and has not yet been an annual event. I didn't make it last year but am hopefull for this year if it again occurs.
I'm not sure anyone has officially started a thread for planning a similar hang for this year.

Figured as much, but I couldn't resist after searching the thread for a 2010 date. I'll let the resident experts handle it. I'm more of support personnel "material". Besides, who else is would bring pasties- priorities brother! I'm just trying to mark the calendar (in ink) and get time off done early.
All I need is a date on the calendar and I'm there.
there were actually 2 northern hangs...one in June on the North Country Trail in Wisconsin and the Superior Hiking Trail in Oct.
This is supposed to be an annual event, but I've not heard any planning yet
