Leaving for trip the 2 coldest days of the year at Linville Gorge NC

Leaving in a few hours to head to Linville Gorge for 2 nights. Going to be the 2 coldest nights I've been out in. Will be interesting.

    Taking HG 0 degree UG
20 and 30 degree EE TQ
Superfly tarp and WB BB hammock

The clothing seems to be the tough think to figure out.

Have fun. One of my coldest nights camping was in LG back in the day. Slept under a tarp in the low single digits with a 0F bag and was comfy, but getting up was not fun. There had been a little bit of freezing rain the previous day, and all of the knots were frozen on the tarp in the morning!

Make sure to post a trip report and some pictures.

Good luck and be sure to report back. This time of year you spend a lot of time swapping clothing while you hike to keep from getting hot.
