    Which is why you use breathable fabric instead of plastic. It becomes less of an issue. Doesn't eliminate it completely but alleviates it greatly.

    You can run parachute cord through the channel on the end of a king size, cotton pillow case from a thrift store. The price is right, but your new storage bag won't have a name-brand logo on it.

    Plastic bins with a couple breather holes work best for me. They are stackable which make my shelves much easier to deal with.

    Most bins actually have the holes built in. Look under the handles, they are usually there. If they aren't, I put some in.
