    Smile My first hammock night

    Hi All
On Saturday night I spent a night out the back testing my hammock. I had to rig up a tarp that I have to keep me dry as it was raining.
I had to tension the webbing a few times while setting up and getting ready for bed as it stretches way too much.
I had a pretty good nights sleep but I think it will take a while to get used to the swaying when you first get in.
I need to get a better tarp I know but I am happy with the first night out.
    Thanks
    Gunn

Looking good. You could do worse than that Neo tarp. Assuming that's what it is. How long is your hammock from knot to knot?

Looks good, enjoy you future hanging life.

What cord are you using on the ridgeline? I tend to think that the no-stretch cord works rhe best.

I recently spent my first night hanging...it's a whole new experience, especially for those of us just too old to sleep in the dirt anymore!

Never too old; just too smart.

    Hi
The tarp is an old army rectangular camo tarp, not the best fit and too short.
My hammock is 106 in from inside knot to inside knot, I am 68 in tall. I was thinking that maybe it is too long for me?

    Thanks
