Can I just tell you how much I am in love?

This is some practice stitches with the 1/2" Distinctive from Amazon.

Jellyfish, you definitely have the magic touch! If I had any hair left I'd have pulled it all out trying to use these things.

Nice! Glad that you found something that works with your machine. Have a direct link to it? How much fabric is rolled into the hem?

    Have fun diving into zippers!

I use a Juki & Pfaffs w/ assorted attachments, and have serviced lots of vintage machines. Any questions?

It only took 3 tries to get something that would work with my machine. Try 1 didn't fit. Try 2 broke a needle! Hahaha

This is the set that I got.

Distinctive 4-8", 6-8" and 8-8" Wide Rolled Hem 3-Piece Hemmer Sewing Foot Package - Fits All Low Shank Snap-On Singer, Brother, Babylock, Euro-Pro, J https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008NWIN06..._HfnuJldLFdl8c

I am getting a complete rotation for a 1/2" double rolled hem, so another 1/2" is tucked inside. I still haven't tried the other 2 wider hem feet in this kit.

Your set appears to be relatively flat where mine has the scroll pointing up a considerable angle. I have to hold the fabric up in the air, and it still doesn't work very well. I paid 50 bucks for the first set and I'm not too anxious to shell out another 40 just to find I still can't make it work. Maybe some of us were just meant to do things the "hard" way.

I also like that yours is a snap-on and doesn't require switching to some goofy adapter.

Looks identical apart from the plastic case as the set I got from the UK via ebay. Haven't had a chance to try them yet other than to ensure they fit the machine so good to hear you're happy with them.

I just ordered these. (Had the brainstorm last night as I tried to sleep, what if....? Spent the last hour this morning trying to figure out what to Google for. I ordered this set, then I thought "What do the hammockers say about this?" Duh!)

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
These are $10 and Amazon says their "Amazon's Choice," whatever that means.

The tucked fabric is pretty long in all of the available wide hemmer presser feet.
Now I'm wondering if there's a Wide Hemmer Foot with a shorter tuck piece (the bit that's hidden). I know I could hold off a bit. But my (limited) experience is that folding presser feets want to do it's thing the way it's designed.

If you set your needle to the left, and stitch near the edge, you can actually have quite a bit of control with how much fabric goes into the roll.

    Good luck.

    jellyfish,
Is there a way you could do a quick video on the 1/2" rolled hem? Specifically how you get it started in the guide and maybe the first couple inches of feeding the fabric? I just ordered the set you have but have a cheap knockoff one at home that I can play around with.
