At Yates there will be a few brave souls--hammock addicts. I will call an emergency meeting of the board of directors and we will have a FAIR vote concerning kicking some weak minded stragglers out of the hammock club. If the vote passes we will have to change the secret handshake and order new decoder rings!

On a more serious note--I've told my kids to use their own judgement about weather to attend or not. My grandkids would get too cold. Maybe Marianna will day camp with her tribe on Friday--Friday is going to be ok

while the sun is up.
I will see most all of you at upcoming spring and summer hangs.
And something that we can consider is moving all Yates Hangs to the weekend following time change in spring and the weekend before time change in the fall. This would alleviate most of the extreme cold that sometimes befalls Yates Hang. If we moved it--would it still be Yates? Anyway it's something to think about.
Yates is still on and somebody's gonna have to eat extra just to keep up!

PG, I won't miss this for anything except work emergency or some horrible medical event. I will contact ya'll right before I go in to the store tomorrow at around 2 to see what is still needed so feel free to have a list ready. While I'm no fan of rain during camping, snow or freezing cold is no issue to me. I can't wait to get there even if it it cold. I'm more than happy sitting around a fire and shooting the breeze.

After walking through all over Yates--there are many sites that are not burnt or have very little burn--I think the recent rain helped. And my original observations were not accurate. The upper side--to the right of vault toilet, if you are at road, has quit a few sites that are not burnt or have very little burn. I do not know if everyone can get a site that is burn free.

Ditto this. Also, my cell phone is dead for good, and if I can't get a replacement before driving on possibly slick roads, I will be less likely to attend. Here is hoping that Sunday will be warm enough to melt any accumulation.
