    WarBonnet is here!

Well, I received my new WarBonnet Thursday. It only took 8 days from the time I sent my check before I got the hammock.

I like it. I only had time to get in a few hours hanging in it this weekend, plus it was very hot and humid this weekend here in my part of Florida. The quality seems very good and it is at least as comfy as my HH Explorer. It came in at 1lb 10oz out of the box. I haven't put it on the scale since switching out the suspension, but I'm betting is still comes in lighter than my HH.

I ordered the ElDorado (because I eat too many cheeseburgers) without tarp and paid $140. I'll be taking it on a 4 day hike in Ocala National Forest the week of July 4th and will make a report as soon as I get back. I'll try to get some pics up tonight or tomorrow (weather permitting).

I really like this hammock; if anybody is on the fence about getting one, I say do it. Brandon (Warbonnet guy) was very helpful and makes a great product. Just my opinion, but in my mind I'm always right anyway.

I haven't found it yet, but he keeps saying a couple of weeks. I just PMed him and set the transaction up that way. As I said before, I'll be putting about 70 miles on the trail in a couple of weeks. That should give me time to find the goods and the bads. I will definitely make a report upon my return.

    Pics folk, pics!

Question, is Warbonnet manufacturing these or is it more like a taylor shop where he's making them one at a time?

I'm 99% sure he makes them one at a time. When I first contacted him he said he get started on it right away; leads me to believe he's doing them as he gets orders; I kinda like that.

Pics are coming; I've already got my swimsuit model lined-up for tonight!

    Cool Nothing wrong with that.

It's just funny when some outdoor companies call themselves manufacturers when they're not. They're taylor shops specializing in outdoor gear.

Like I wrote, nothing wrong with tayloring/custom made stuff. In many ways I prefer it. After all I make much of my own gear.

Please no swim suit model. I want to see the hammock not the woman. If you need a model, have them go hike for 20 miles with all their gear, and the let them plop down in the hammock.

That way we can see the thing in action.

As long as you are not the swimsuit model, than I'm ok with it.
