    Sleeping Bag/Foot Box Mod

My sleeping bag wanted to crawl over the sides on the end at times, so I fix that issue.
I figured I would do it to my Grand Trunk first... It turned out pretty good.
My helper had to test it first..
    I sewed a piece of ripstop, on the end, 36" x 24" x 5" at the end.
This will keep my sleeping bag from trying to get away durning the night.

Great idea, Randy. I thought the GT hammock was fairly wide...

The end of that heavy heavy sleeping bag, kept trying to dangle over the edge on the end.

That's weird. I didn't experience any of that last night when I used my new TrekLight Double...but that hammock is REALLY wide. Once I'm in the bag I can pull both sides of the material over me and hold it closed.

Maybe I should forget a tarp and just Scotchgard my hammock, jump in, and wrap it around to form a waterproof cocoon!

I was thinking about just putting a zipper on it or the ENO, but I didn't want a zipper snagging on the bug net this summer.

Now that you've figured out how we'll stay warm even on the coldest days here in Texas with the GI Extreme bag...you need to work on a system for keeping us cool during the summer months so we can extend our hammock camping trips through the hotter 'n hell months of the year!

Portable A/C system with fans hanging off ridgelines?

C'mon Randy! I know you can do it!

I have slept in the GT the last few nights and the end cover works out great, keeping the end of the sleeping bag in the hammock, I guess I just toss and turn too much at night.
