The weekend is finally here. Since this one is a long weekend for most we are headed out to Chickamauga to do some Hiking and camping. Got my bag and Hammock ready.

Nice!! I'm going to try and get out for just a quick 1 nighter, just local. I have some cold weather gear I have been trying/testing in the backyard, and want to get it out in field conditions. Lows should be about 15deg F during the weekend, and no precipitation, so I can get a good test in.
I don't have Monday off, But I'll be hanging in the forest tomorrow night under the stars! Going to wake up on Sunday and make some real espresso in my new GSI 4 cup espresso maker. Works GREAT over the alcohol stove.

Sipsey.....not sure how far I'm going to hike but want to go see shiprock, needle eye and possibly the big tree. I'm guessing it is going to be around 15 miles. Yep glad it's going to be a warm one I unlike a lot of people like hiking in warm weather. I hiked/walked and rode my mountain bike 1150 miles last year between may and October. I'll hike in the heat but won't hike if it's too cold.
