ViDEO: A Peek at the Chameleon

Just a first look at this right goodie of a new hammock by Dutch.
I have not had it out in the field but have napped in it and am trying all the configurations.
Also just got my Beetle Bug suspension so it is not in the video. The Beetle Bug is awesome. Yes, I typed Awesome.
The pack hooks along the side to hook in your UQ suspension are quickly becoming my favorite feature. Even if you don't use the shock cord pullouts...the UQ suspension comes up over the end of your TQ and mades a footbox. Love that.

Great video of what looks to be a great product. Everything anyone needs to know. Circumstances led Dutch to let me in on the details of this hammock pre-launch, so I am excited to receive mine in a few weeks. Thanks for this review.

Another great video. I have been confused as to why pullout are necessary. They look to be more in the way than useful. Like you say, use them or not. I do like the suspension and ordered a full setup.

Pullouts....not necessary...but a good option to have. I like using one just at my foot end. Opens up that end well.

I really like the pullouts on my dream hammock dangerbird and for me they haven't been in the way.

Side tie-outs have a minimal weight penalty and can offer you a number of advantages if they happen to jive with your hanging style. (I even put them on my DIY netless hammocks.) If they aren't something that interests you, the tie-outs are easy to ignore, but I'm glad Dutch put them on the Chameleon, even though it's clear that the design is so well thought out that you don't even need to use them.

I think it will be steller in the field. Better than in my Nut-Hut/

Put them on. Take them off. Easy on the Chameleon. I like that.
