    The forest in WA is beautiful but with the amount of rain here it generates a thick understory of growth such as ferns and other plants between the trees. Finding good trees for hanging is not a problem but they often come with 4 foot high ferns in the middle. Hammock camping in the rainforest has it's challenges which are different from the east coast forest.

    Definate truth. Many years since my dad died, I still think about the things he and I did, juat the two of us. Like our crazy camping trip to Yellowstone Park back in the 1960's.

    It's maybe 30'' I would say I just cut some vine maple forks and carved a notch around it on the other end it worked very good
