That is a good idea! I use the stuff sack that everyone cuts off as a pocket to hold my glasses at night. Then I found out about all of the fancy gadgets from this forum.

Now that I have some material, I will make myself a ridgeline organizer.

I removed those heavy beaners and the rope and replaced it with 100" of 6mm rope.
Before this, I used the extra length from my slapstrap pros combined with a beaner and made a ridgeline.

Actually I found a use for the compression strap on the bag while the hammock is hung. You can hang your boots from it within reach(if the boots are not too heavy). That way I don't have to hang them from the suspension and have to get out to go get them or get dirt in my hammock by reaching up and over.

I gotta admit, when size is more of a factor than weight (dayhikes for example) I do sometimes miss the compression strap. Mine is probably 50% bigger than it used to be.
