I listened to this one as an audiobook. It was entertaining.

Heh... I recently finished that, after reading AWOL's book. I knew Dutch thru- hiked about then so I visited his site and found the link. It really was a great read. Loved the humor.

Now I'm going to go eat some mechanically- separated chicken....

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver

AWOL’s book is indeed a good read. I saw that he took over the AT trail guide, was on the shelf at REi.

Thank you very much, Dutch. It indeed was a great read. I couldn't put it down and had to force myself to turn off my phone so I could get at least 4 hours of sleep before work.

This kind of journal makes for fun movies because it had every emotion, serious times and funny times sprinkled thru out. It makes me want to train even if I never make it to the AT. At least I can get some time on the FT.

    See ya next January.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
