Hey all,
I'm relatively new to the hammock camping game, but I practice setting up in the park regularly. Just did my first overnight (with a backup tent in case I really couldn't handle it) and in spite of all my messing around with the ridgeline and the height of the suspension etc, I was unable to get a truly flat lay. I have upper back issues and this is somthing I need to address if I'm going to be sleeping in a hammock instead of a tent.
I currently have what I presume is the starter hammock of an ENO double nest. I made my own ridgeline that is 83", which I thought would get me pretty flat, but it did not What did I do wrong? (besides the underquilt, I realized that was not tight enough pretty quickly. Heh.)
I'd love to hear about hanging suggestions/tips and/or what the best hammocks are for getting a very flat lay.
