    Mod assistance requested

I'm sorry mods. I goofed and closed my thread BEFORE I got it moved and now don't seem to have access TO move it. Could you delete this thread and move my WL UQ Shell for sale thread to the sold section? THANKS!!!

Dublinlin, I moved your FS post. Before I delete this thread I wanted to ask. Once you closed your FS thread you no longer had access to move it?

Actually I don't know how to move it, but when I went back in to try and figure it out, it wouldn't let me into the "reply" mode which is where I thought I'd have the option to move it from there...?

This is a screenshot of what's available to me in the edit mode. Where is the control to change the post's Forum section?

Thanks I'm just trying to understand how this membership closing and moving a FS post. I thought close then move was the process. All done from the same drop down menu.
A member can only do that in the FS forum not anywhere else on the forum. Your example is in the Feedback forum so you probably have no moving previlages there.
When you said you could not move once closed it peaked my interest. Thanks again for helping me figure this out.

I don't know if you have the same options when moving a thread. Here is what my screen looks like as a mod. Click pict for large image.

Here is the exact step by step process you have to follow to move and close your thread in the FS area. Please note, you can not complete the actions using Tapatalk. You will need to use a web browser. Hope this helps

Closing, editing Prefix and moving your thread once your items are Sold, Traded or Withdrawn
    1. Open the Thread you created.
    2. In the top right just Above the thread click on ADMINISTRATIVE.
    3. Click on Move in the drop down box.
    4. Click on Proceed.
    5. Now click on the drop down box to the right of DESTINATION FORUM.
    6. A listing of forums will now display. Pick the one that is a couple of lines under the For Sale forum. It is titled [SOLD/WITHDRAWN] Items no longer available (No Posting).
    7. Do not change anything in the REDIRECT block.
    8. Click on MOVE THREAD in the bottom right.

Deb, when I read your instructions it all sounds so clear and straight forward. Problem is I do not have and ADMINISTRATIVE button to click on! It isn't there. Is it possible that I have not been granted clearance to HAVE that option in the Sales Forum? Is there any way you can take a look at my membership and see if maybe I didn't get the full "Sales Forum" package of permissions when I was granted Sales Forum privileges?

(I even pulled out my computer, dusted it off, and fired it up to see if the problem was that this is something that cannot be done on my iPhone...but, the screens look the same whether I'm using my phone browser (Chrome) or Chrome on my computer. (I do not use Tapatalk ever.))

Update: OH! I just now noticed that this thread is no longer in the For Sale forum so of course I cannot find an ADMINISTRATIVE button to click on here! (I was trying to move THIS thread to learn how to move threads...but, I think I only have that ability when the thread is still in the For Sale forum. So, guess I'll just have to wait until the next time I have something posted there to try these directions out. Hopefully I'll still remember what they were.)

I will check your settings. Please double check that you are in the FS area. It is the only place on the forum you will have the admin button.
