1/16" works fine. You won't be disappointed. But 1/32" will give a "softer" stretch that will be gentler on the inner blanket when stacked. Otherwise, just use light tension when attaching the quilt. Not a big deal.

This is ridonkulous. Great design and great instructions! I'll be tackling this project as soon as possible!
Wow, what an awesome tutorial. Thanks so much for sharing!
I got mine done! Thanks again for the SUPER clear and amazing directions. I've only test hung in the house but everything lines up real well for both the single layer and TQ as well as the double layer UQ. and together they slip into the same stuff sack as my JArbridge.

"Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters.”

Another Gemini finished! So impressed by this Leiavoia underquilt. It wasn't put together as well at the original, but it's warm and very inexpensive.
Thank you so much for the great design!
"If we lose the forests, we lose our only instructors. People must see these forests and wilderness as the greatest educational system that we have on the planet. If we lose all the universities in the world, then we would lose nothing. But If we lose the forests, we lose everything." -- Bill Mollison
awesome work, looks great
Big thanks for posting pictures. I hope you like it in the field. Looking forward to trip reports!
Amazing project
Could I source all the stuff needed in Europe, I might want to built one myself, as a loaner
Wow. I know you suggested Kam snaps to me before and I resisted because I didn't think it was worth the extra expense but this is a very versatile design.
I'm trying to convince my nephew to build an underquilt so I'll strongly suggest he try this design. (Mine is already done but you never know . . . .)
Thanks for the idea and the how-to!
