MO> Ozark Trail thru hike Feb 2017

The plan is to set out Saturday afternoon Feb. 18th from the northern terminus at Onondaga. Leisurely pace... perhaps 10 miles a day... at least for the first week while my body adapts to the new normal. Should be finished sometime before March 15th. May or may not include the Taum Sauk spur section depending on how everything goes. I expect to be solo most of the time, but would welcome company for all or part of the journey. Will try to post updates in the trip reports section of hammockforums as cell signal and battery power permit.

JEALOUS! I'm regularly all over the OT and would love to have the time for a thru. I doubt we will be able to join you, but if so, we will bring some goodies. Keep us updated on progress.

According to THIS web page, the OT is roughly 230 miles end to end. Including the Taum Sauk / Trace Creek Spur adds another ~45 miles one way.

Hey! Finished the thru-hike back on March 9th. Couldn't post updates along the way due to lack of cell signal on the trail, but the trip report with pictures has since been posted in that section of the hammockforums website HERE.
